Mission
Progitech Solutions equips you with the tools to manage your data. Simply.
We equip organizations with the tools and confidence necessary to understand, manage, and improve their Salesforce data practices for queer and black-led organizations.
Progitech Solutions does that by breaking down the barriers of complex language and technical dialogue; taking the extra time to deliver solutions that are easily understood, accessible, and empower you to take ownership of your technology. All while working with someone that looks like you.
Technology should be a partner to your business, not something you have to fight against, however, in order to ensure that is the case, you need an environment where you feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and have a technical guide that will patiently lead you through the entire process.
Co- Op Vision
Currently run as a solo consultancy, Progitech Solutions caters to smaller organizations that need expert support but cannot afford larger firms. However, our goal is to transform into a cooperative model that retains the affordability of solo consultancies while scaling to meet the capacity of larger firms.
Through co-ownership, every worker will have an equal stake in the company, sharing profits and responsibilities. This approach will allow us to deliver consistent, high-quality services to clients while empowering our team with shared resources and decision-making. Our aim is to help smaller organizations access the technical expertise they need, particularly for complex technologies like databases and AI, where specialized knowledge is essential.
At Progitech Solutions, we're building towards a cooperative future where everyone benefits—our team, our clients, and the communities we serve. Join us on this journey!
Plan
While currently an LLC, Progitech Solutions considers itself more of a “project” than a “business”. Progitech Solutions is run and operated by the founder, in effect, a solo consultancy. This is not a rare occurrence, many people with technical backgrounds find themselves going down this path, even despite the existence of established consulting firms that work in the same field. The interesting facet is the fact that even though solo consultancies, and consultant firms can operate in the same field, they often don't find themselves competing for clients. Solo consultant firms appeal to smaller organizations that do not have the funds to pay for the larger firms with more capacity, with the end result being that solo firms eventually reach capacity, and either stop taking clients all together, or the clients that they do have suffer diminishing services.
The aim of Progitech Solutions, then, is to form an organization that can both, retain the lower prices of a solo consulting firm, while simultaneously maintain the capacity of a larger consulting firm. I believe that this is possible through the mechanism of co-ownership. The co-ownership, or worker co-op model entails that each worker owns the company equally, and therefore has an equal stake in its success or failure. It also means that there is no need to profit for the sake of shareholders and investors, all profit goes towards the workers that own the organization. The employees then have an organization to share resources, and responsibility with, thereby increasing capacity, and their clients have a cohesive organizational structure to depend on wherein- while each consultant would assuredly maintain their own style of work- the process, rates, and scopes of work are universal.
That all brings us back to where Progitech Solutions is now. I, as the founder and sole owner, do not want to maintain that status. The purpose of this organization is to build towards a future that supports a cooperative model where the workers own 100% of the profits, yet can still build capacity for their clients, and offer a quality service. This should support smaller organizations even more, that will never be in the market for a larger consultancy, but can still have the technical partnership and expertise they need to operate their systems. Every technology is going to offer an “easy-to-implement simple solution” but that is so often never the case. Databases, especially, are inherently complicated, and require specialists to understand, interpret, and communicate with those on the ground who the database is theoretically supposed to benefit. This is the case with almost any technology, even with the rise of Artificial Intelligence.
So build with me! Progitech Solutions!
